Now is the time to take the plunge into social media ... whether I like it or not.
This is an exercise in survival.
Survival is to be interpreted as being relevant in the modern age.
To be relevant, one must adapt to vurrent social values and communicate within modern mediums and formats.
To reject social media is to admit that one is not relevant nor interested in remaining or becoming relevant.
Not being relevant nor being interested in being relevent is accepting that one has little to nothing to any longer contribute ... nor any need to fulfill.
To admit that is akin to saying that one has lost interest in the world as a whole and is very close to accepting death as an alternative.
I am not prepared to accept that as an alternative -- therefore, I choose to be relevevant ... and therefore choose to embrace social media.
